Ironwood 45-day Assessment Program

Ironwood offers a 45-day assessment program for families needing immediate support and stabilization. The initial period of stabilization is intended to offer 24 hour safety, support and supervision while evaluating the true needs of your child from a therapeutic, behavioral and educational viewpoint. Families will have the option of continuing our long term program, which would be an additional 7-12 months, or consider other potential recommended programs.

The services of our multidisciplinary team will include: A Treatment Plan, including a diagnosis, behavioral observations and recommendations; a Psychiatric Evaluation with medication recommendations (if needed); an Educational Plan with specific goals and course recommendations (residents will have the option to recover essential credits, prepare for the SAT’s, or gain organizational skills, as well); and a Wellness Plan, with goals for health and fitness, in addition to nutritional recommendations. While at Ironwood for 45-days, your child will see an individual therapist as well as participate in group sessions with Masters level clinicians teaching Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Equine Assisted Therapy, Addictions Management and Recovery (this includes gaming and internet addictions), and an Outdoor Experiential Learning Group (also known as wilderness therapy). Additionally, activities such as school, yoga, art, music, exercise, cooking, dog training, hiking and pick-up sports, etc. will be part of a residents daily activities.

Tuition for this 45-day program will be $428/day for a total of $19,260 and is due prior to admission. Costs may be partially or fully covered by insurance. We encourage families to use resources such as Denials Management Inc. or SJ Health Insurance Advocates to fully investigate your potential insurance options.

Admission to this program will be limited to 10 residents. Individual entry dates are scheduled on a rolling admissions basis. Families can submit an application on our website under the admissions tab. A non-refundable deposit of $2,500. is required to reserve an entry date. Residents are expected to complete the entire 45-day program in order to qualify for admission to this program.
