I was born in Massachusetts as the fourth son in a family of five children. When I was quite young, I had a brother who experienced psychological trauma that required long term therapy and intense accommodation within our family. While this personal experience was difficult to understand at the time, it helped me to form a career path that was focused on improving the lives of others and building support within the family unit.
Over the last 25 years, I have overseen the development and operations of health care facilities, specifically senior housing and residential care. Sue & I have partnered on several independent facilities throughout the U.S. and we most recently owned and operated a residential care community in central New Hampshire. Sue & I are raising 3 daughters and a son, who range in ages from 14 to 25. I play tennis in the summer, ski in the winter and my greatest passion is sailing. I look forward to sharing this interest with the students at Ironwood and exploring Maine’s endless seacoast. Ironwood’s dedicated team of professionals are making great strides in the “life change” of every teenager who joins us. I’m grateful for all of the energy that they pour in to Ironwood and look forward to working with this group to further build our standards of excellence. |
