Louella Grindle
Behavior Specialist
|
My name is Louella Grindle and I was born and raised here in Maine. I currently live in central Maine with my husband and two children. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington in Secondary Education, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Education concentrating in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New England. I have dedicated my life to working with teens. Being a behavior specialist at Ironwood is just a new twist in my desire to continue working with teens. I am a Girl Scout Leader for my daughter’s troop and volunteer as a PTO member at my children’s school. I am passionate about animals, and here at Ironwood, I enjoy helping the resident teens care for the variety of animals on campus. This residential treatment facility and my favorite motto go hand in hand: “Tell me and I’ll forget, Show me and I may remember, Involve me and I’ll understand.” By involving our residents in all aspects of life at Ironwood, they will understand what it takes to prosper in life after they leave Ironwood.
