My name is Caitlin Sauce and I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I studied psychology and biology at Louisiana Tech University, where I earned my B.A. degree and later returned to study massage therapy.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had an interest in helping people, in some way or another. I’ve worked in a variety of settings with different age groups including group homes and schools, before coming to Ironwood, Residential Treatment Center. When I first started, I was really impressed by the staff’s commitment to motivate the kids to want more for themselves and be willing to work for it–and to strive to be happy, healthy adults. Having worked at Ironwood over a year now, I’ve seen so much change and progress in the teens –and I am proud to be a part of it. I like to share my love of sea kayaking, hiking, yoga, reading, and my big pup, Digby, with the kids, encouraging them to explore new avenues and pursue new interests. |
