Hello my name is Andy Bezon. I was born and raised in Sodus, NY. I received my Bachelors degree in physical Education from Brockport State in New York and my Masters degree in Experiential Education from Mankato State in Minnesota. Before coming to Ironwood I led and managed therapeutic wilderness expeditions for teens in the wilderness of Alaska and British Columbia. Some of my favorite past times include snowboarding, paddling, fishing and ceramics. I choose to work with kids because I have a strong belief that a positive mentor can have an everlasting influence on a child’s life. I enjoy working at Ironwood because it provides kids with a warm, safe and structured environment where they can work on building the skills they need to succeed in their lives at home. "Through positive relationships and accountability, I believe that kids can thrive at Ironwood." When working with kids I always try to focus on the positives; mistakes are only a negative occurrence when we don’t apply the knowledge learned from them to our future practices.
