Ironwood Culinary Program Highlights
In April 2008, the residents of Ironwood had the opportunity of experiencing culinary instruction from Chef Jeffrey Fredrickson of the Tradewinds Resort in St Petersburg, Florida. Hailing and apprenticing from Massachusetts and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Jeffrey whet his appetite for culinary performance at the Trump Taj Mahal and Castle Casinos in Atlantic City, Grand Bay Hotel in Miami and the Condado Beach Trio in Puerto Rico. Chef Jeffrey is the author of the cookbook "Flavors of the Beach."
Ironwood's residents prepared a culinary extravaganza that included lobster and shrimp bisque, field green salad with goat cheese and walnuts in a filo wrap, potato-encrusted filet mignon with a truffle demi-glace followed by key lime cheesecake.
