Baldacci recently toured Ironwood. The tour, facilitated by Rod Rodrigue, gave the Governor an opportunity to meet with Ironwood residents and staff as well as learn about the program. Impressed by the program, the Governor remarked, "Rod, Marion and your staff, it is a wonderful facility and just seeing what you have offered here to people, not only kids and communities, but also to the state and regions throughout here is just enormous." Following his brief remarks, Governor Baldacci presented Rod and Marion with a plaque stating, "Ironwood Maine - the future depends on what we do today."
